The Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens in South Florida is a place where I experienced total zen. Time seemed to loosen its grip, and the world quieted down to its essential elements. Moving through the gardens, I was drawn to moments of stillness: raked gravel, resting stones, the dissolving of boundaries through reflections. Each picture was about recording a state of mind: patience, balance, and attentiveness.
Working in black and white allowed emphasized light, shadow, and grain, while wildlife compositions introduce subtle narrative tension between peace and danger, something that nature does not separate.
